Like PM Kisan Yojana Krishak Bandhu is a direct benefit transfer scheme introduced by the West Bengal government in January 2019. The scheme aims to give financial support to all farmers in West Bengal for agricultural purposes, as well as social security to farm families in the event of the farmers’ untimely death.

Krishak Bandhu Yojana West Bengal
All farmers who participated with the Agriculture Department of West Bengal are eligible for yearly financial assistance of 10,000 under the Krishak Bandhu scheme. The assistance is given out in two equal installments of 5,000 each, one in the Kharif and one in the Rabi seasons.
This scheme also provides a 2 lakh death benefit to the households of farmers who die between the ages of 18 and 60.
